Founded by former Google Brain engineers Jiquan Ngiam and Vijay Vasudevan, Mintive is targeting the infrastructure layer of the AI boom. The company’s platform acts as a gateway for enterprise agents, managing access to cloud services, routing LLM traffic, and monitoring agent behavior. By masking the technical friction of sandboxes and memory management, the founders claim they can reduce deployment time to a few button clicks.
Agent Security Startup Mintive Raises $11 Million
With $11 million in total funding and a roster of heavyweight backers including Andrej Karpathy and Jeff Dean, Mintive is entering the crowded enterprise AI agent market. The startup focuses on governance and identity management, aiming to simplify the complex task of securing autonomous digital workers for corporate environments.
The startup faces intense competition from industry giants like Microsoft and Amazon, alongside scores of venture-backed rivals. However, Cowboy Ventures managing partner Aileen Lee pointed to the founders' disciplined approach to capital as a key differentiator. While many competitors chase massive valuations, Mintive has maintained a lean $11 million raise, prioritizing steady, incremental growth over vanity metrics. Since launching in February, the platform has secured 50 enterprise clients, including Stability AI, Coursera, and the University of Michigan.
